The short version
To find the best brain supplement for the money, ignore the bottle price and work out two numbers: cost per day, and cost per studied dose. Why the best brain supplement for the money is a maths question
Every supplement shelf, physical or digital, is arranged to make you compare the wrong number. What this method cannot tell you
Cost per studied dose is a comparison tool with real limits, and pretending otherwise would be the same trick in a different direction.
It cannot tell you whether an ingredient works. Matching a trial dose of a poorly evidenced compound gets you an expensive version of a weak bet. Dose analysis has to sit downstream of evidence analysis, never instead of it.
It cannot account for bioavailability. Different salts and forms of the same compound are absorbed differently, so a smaller amount of a better-absorbed form can outperform a larger amount of a cheaper one. Milligrams on a panel are not milligrams in your bloodstream.
